When I saw this fabric I knew I had to make something out of it even though I’m still learning in the sewing department. It first came to light as an ill-fitting skirt with my very first zipper installation (a successful, but not too attractive result). Even with the zip, the waist was far too big. Then I took my first sewing class, realised some tips of construction and how to sew a zip, so I deconstructed my skirt and completely remade it. Now it fits a bit too tightly, but I’m not going back again. It’s done!
Roots. Every time I go to canada I need to buy Roots sweatshirts, can’t resist they’re so good. Here are the two that I bought this year on vacation.
I saw a duffel bag on the metro that was orange and gold. The colour combo seemed unexpected and fun. And I was ready for a new library book bag. So I tried to make my own. Here’s the result. Overall I’m pretty happy, even though some of the construction issues. I wish I could find the photo of the bag in the metro, but it’s gone missing :(
Tops that work with trousers!
I invested in this top for my new trousers (it’s Conni Kaminski) I think it works well, you tell me…
